Welcome

My name is Jody and I am a Registered Social Worker and Canadian Certified Counsellor. I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Specializing in Clinical Practice.

I am certified in Critical Incident Stress Management and Somatic Experiencing. I am a EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Trained Clinician and have training in Animal Assisted Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy.

I am a Mental Health Counsellor with the Indian Residential School Resolution Health Support Program (IRS RHSP) and Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program providing trauma counselling to Residential School Survivors and their families. I have a strong backgound working with a variety of cultures and Indigenous communities.

My approach is client-centered, drawing on my extensive training and broad range of therapeutic methods in order to create a personalized approach for each client. I believe in providing my clients an empathic and non-judgmental counselling experience, where individual differences are embraced and stories of success and resilience are created.
